Zephyr Gymnasts Continue Strong Season at MGGOA Invite

Zephyr gymnastics scored 142.575 to place fourth out of sixteen teams in the 39th annual Minnesota Girls Gymnastics Officials Association (MGGOA) invitational on Saturday, Jan. 5.
Junior Bella Frattalone claimed eighth on vault (9.525), second on beam (9.55) and bars (9.6), and fourth on floor (9.575), and had the Zephyrs highest all-around score with 38.25.
It was a day of personal bests on vault, where sisters sophomore Zoe Bush and eighth-grader Abbey Bush achieved identical career high scores of 9.025. Senior captain Kerri Manders also cracked a vault personal best with a 9.3. Manders and Zoe Bush tallied all-around scores of 35.425 and 33.075, respectively. Other strong performances included floor routines by Caylee Greeder (9.1) and Zoe Bush (9.0).
Coming up on Saturday, Jan. 12, the Zephyrs host the Mahtomedi Invite starting at 10:30 a.m. The team traditionally honors former teammates at the meet -- all alumni are encouraged to attend.
